I love the idea but I can see many of my second graders, especially at the beginning of the struggle with this. I don't want them doing a lot of prep work at home-that would defeat the purpose of eliminating reading logs. Maybe a future post?
Thanks for sharing your great ideas!
Bex
Reading and Writing RedheadBex Mawnhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02461511441033003836noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2129006653234939633.post-17372419291814407202015-05-22T22:36:04.166-04:002015-05-22T22:36:04.166-04:00This comment has been removed by the author.Bex Mawnhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02461511441033003836noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2129006653234939633.post-44148260123394649102015-05-17T21:29:31.343-04:002015-05-17T21:29:31.343-04:00Hi Mrs, Spangler- My middle school students loved ...Hi Mrs, Spangler- My middle school students loved giving book talks and listening to my "shelf talks". It was such a motivator for them that I often had "wait lists" for books they wanted to read! Their excitement for a book can be so contagious!
:-) LaurenTeacher Mom of 3https://www.blogger.com/profile/14037401118654939801noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2129006653234939633.post-15320975652537138012015-05-16T20:48:06.640-04:002015-05-16T20:48:06.640-04:00The calendar is awesome! No copies and nothing else to have to keep up with.

I love the idea of sharing in morning meeting. This helps everyone want to read to have something to share. Definitely sharing that with my teachers!

Andrea
Reading Toward the Stars

Andrea Crawfordhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10863194664150925886noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2129006653234939633.post-15302105226576665562015-05-16T17:42:13.326-04:002015-05-16T17:42:13.326-04:00This gives me some ideas for next year - Thanks! This gives me some ideas for next year - Thanks!Mrs. Spangler in the Middlehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17137268748395471302noreply@blogger.com
