Many districts here in PA and MD have discontinued RR because of costs and having to use their specialists for more students. This required me to receive the regular year long reading recovery training and some additional training but I didn't have to do the monthly meetings and I didn't have 4 reading recovery students I only had 2. The program helped me to become a better literacy teacher!
