I am very excited to follow your blog. I have been teaching for 7 years; however, this is my first year in kindergarten. I look forward to learning from all of you.
ReplyDeleteThis is such a great idea, I love seeing other teachers ideas and resources. Thank you, From Kirsty,South Australia, Australia.
ReplyDeleteI find it difficult integrating comprehension, accuracy, fluency and understanding of vocabulary. I am a mother of 3 and teach Year 2 in Queensland.

I find it difficult to teach the integration of comprehension, accuracy, fluency and understanding of vocabulary.
ReplyDeleteLove the new blog!
ReplyDeleteI think this site is going to be my favorite literacy site. I am so excited by what I have already read. Are the items that are called 'freebies', submitted by the 'authors of the day' what will be emailed this weekend? The reason I ask is that when I click on the pic it just gives me an enlarged Pinterest pick and no link to the freebie.
ReplyDeleteThe freebies for the week will be emailed this weekend after we get all of the entries. Once we start writing posts with freebies, they will be shown on this page as a one-stop spot.
DeleteI hope you enjoy this site! We are excited to have you and all of our new followers here!

Thanks for a great literacy blog. It is like having an ELA coach. This site is going to be a great help for us who need help with integrating these skills. Thanks for sharing your knowledge.
ReplyDeleteI hope we can be like an ELA coach for everyone! I am also excited to be working with so many talented ladies and can't wait to continue to learn with them too! I hope you keep coming back for more!

Reading Toward the Stars
It is going to be such an amazing resource. The group of people you put together at our fingertips...I am thrilled!
ReplyDeleteLove the collaboration that is happening between teachers - I always am on the lookout to freshen up my teaching.
ReplyDeleteGood Morning to all,
ReplyDeleteI must say I admire and enjoy the collaborative nature that springs out when one person has an idea. I was a teacher for 11yrs at a Secondary school but now I am a SAHM / Private Tutor .I have realized that literacy is a mammoth issue in my country, which is sad, so I guess in my own way I would like to make a difference because I appreciate what reading and the ability to read can do for your life. I recently met a child who is was assessed as dyslexic and I really would like to help her improve because you can see the frustration in her eyes and in her parents eyes, so I am loving the sharing and will be here often because it will prove helpful to any student I interact with. Thanks again for sharing and keep up the great work.
